In a strategic move to bolster its presence in the short-term rental market, Alloggio Group has announced the acquisition of Weekenda, a prominent holiday rental management company based in Pokolbin, New South Wales. This latest addition further solidifies Alloggio’s standing as a key player in the Australian accommodation industry.
Weekenda specializes in managing rental properties, including villas and cottages, within a convenient two-and-a-half-hour drive from Sydney. Their focus areas encompass popular destinations like Hunter Valley, Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, Broke Fordwich, and the Central Coast.
The press release from Alloggio Group emphasized the mutual respect and shared vision between the two companies, expressing excitement about the collaborative efforts that will shape the future of the short-term rental industry. Pete Smith, Weekenda’s founder and CEO, lauded Alloggio Group’s leadership under CEO Will Creedon, highlighting the substantial growth and impact the acquisition will bring to both businesses.
This acquisition marks another milestone for Alloggio, which went public in November 2021, raising $16.5 million. Since then, the company has consistently expanded its portfolio, incorporating various holiday rental brands across Australia. The Alloggio Group now manages over 16 short-term holiday rental brands in popular tourist destinations nationwide.
With a focus on holiday property management and mid-market hotels, Alloggio Group leverages its proprietary in-house technology platform to provide an end-to-end solution for travelers, property owners, and managers. The Weekenda acquisition is poised to contribute significantly to Alloggio’s continued growth and influence in the dynamic accommodation industry.
